Despite the recent drop in outdoor temperatures, community members came out on December 6th to participate in Westwood's Holiday Walkabout. Enjoy a few photos from the day below.

Event organizer Vickie Devoy gets into the holiday spirit by donning a headband with bobbing snowmen.According to Vickie Devoy, organizer of the First Baptist Holly Fair which has been part of the Walkabout for the past three years, the foot traffic picked up this year. She says she was happy to see more families in attendance.

The menu was interesting and varied at the Silver Beaver Cafe.At First Baptist of Westwood, local scout leaders Darren Valentine, Chris Gross, and Ron Gauld served up treats including handmade doughnuts, small batch roasted coffee, and hamburger macaroni or chicken pot pie soups.

The Westwood Artists returned to their traditional Walkabout showroom of Westwood's historic Fisher School. The location enjoyed a slow and steady stream of customers throughout the event, said Westwood Artists co-founder Lisa Walker. She noted that the artists and attendees enjoyed a concert by an a capella group at the location around midday.
