Arizona-based singer songwriter Mark Bishop Evans performs on Saturday evening, April 20th, with doors opening at 6:45 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. performance.
Originally a trumpet player, Mark’s desire to sing brought him to the guitar in his early teens. Listening and playing the folk and protest music of the late sixties inspired him to begin writing his own songs. His musical migration has taken him through folk rock, pop, country, gospel and back to folk where it all began. His music is an intriguing blend of folk, folk rock and ballads, lyrically rich in emotional content and melodically comfortable. It is commonly called “close to the bone.”
Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for students of any age. Tickets are available that evening on a first come, first serve basis. (cash or checks).
