Registration for this 5K fun run is open to runners from casual enthusiasts to serious competitors, and families with strollers and walkers are encouraged to participate. Check in- is at 8:30 a.m. and the race takes place at 9:30 a.m.

The fee is $25 per person, and the race is free for children 12 and under when accompanied by a participating adult. The first 100 entrants will receive free t-shirts, or as long as supplies last.

Andrea Capone, Director of the library, said, “I am so excited about the 5K Fun Run. It’s a brand new way to bring people together in support of our library and its initiatives for its upcoming public park in front and interior renovations. I’m planning to attend to cheer the participants on, and am hoping my friends and neighbors will join me.” 

The 5K course begins in the library parking lot, proceeds up Washington Street to Pleasant Street, from Pleasant Street to Sherman Street, from Sherman Street back to Washington Street, and back to the parking lot.

Pre-check is available to participants on Saturday, April 27th from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to receive their materials and/or to register as a new participant.
