Sixty-four percent (64%) of Westwood's registered voters exercised their right to vote in the State Election, and most of them came out in favor of gubernatorial candidate Maura Healey and the entire slate of Democratic candidates. In Westwood's preliminary results which the Town Clerk's Office posted on Tuesday night, November 8, 2022, Democratic candidates won handily in all contested races except for one.

Except for the race for Auditor, every Democratic candidate won decisively in every one of Westwood's five precincts. In Westwood, it is tight race for between Democrat Diana DiZoglio and Republican Anthony Amore for Auditor, in which Ms. DiZoglio has received a total of 3,713 votes and Mr. Amore has received 3,169 votes. Mr. Amore is the only statewide candidate  in this election to have the endorsement of Governor Charlie Baker.

Mail-in votes that are postmarked by 8:00 p.m. on November 8th will be counted and added to Election Night's total by the Town Clerk's Office, after the deadline for their receipt, which is 5:00 p.m. on November 12, 2022. The tabulation of Westwood residents' votes are but a small part of the larger picture of how candidates fared with voters in the state, overall.
