While this weekend is busy with Black Friday and Extended Black Friday Shopping, below are a couple of recent recalls to be aware of.
Carter Company Recalls Infant's Yellow Footed Fleece Pajamas with Animal Graphic
Source: Consumer Product Safety Commission.Although no incidences or injuries have been reported, on November 17, 2022, Carter's issued a recall for this piece of infant clothing due to puncture and laceration hazards to young children. There are small metal wire pieces in the pajamas, of which about 50,800 were sold at Carter's, Kohl's, Macy's, Boscov's, www.carters.com, and other stores across the nation. The item was sold from July 2022 through September 2022 for about $22.Â
Affected consumers should immediately take the pajamas away from children and bring them to a Carter's store for a return. Green Sprouts Recalls Stainless Steel Straw Bottles, Sippy Cups, and Sip & Straw Cups
Source: Consumer Product Safety Commission.On November 23, 2022, Green Sprouts recalled the above-pictured 6 oz and 8 oz stainless steel bottles and cups because the bottom bases can break off to reveal a solder dot containing lead. There are seven reports of these incidences occurring, and no injuries reported. Because lead is toxic to young children when ingested, the company is recalling approximately 10,500 units of this product and offering a refund.Â
The cups involved have tracking numbers at the bottom of the base:Â 29218V06985, 35719V06985, and 33020V06985.Â
Customers should immediately discard the bottles and cups and contact Green Spouts for a refund.
