Thursday, March 23rd marks National Puppy Day, and a good reminder that the upcoming weekend may be a great time to go looking for a new best friend!

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) welcomes puppies and dogs from other parts of the country through the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) Animal Relocation Program. Twice a month, ASPCA transports dogs from overcrowded shelters to places like New England where demand to adopt animals is high. These animals are rescued from needless euthanasia and have a chance to find a home.

ARL has locations in Dedham, Boston, and East Brewster. Visiting hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays during those same hours by appointment. Learn about ARL's adoptable dogs by clicking here.
