Highlights of meetings this week in Westwood's town government include:
Mon. 3/27: School Committee deliberates over the final three candidates for superintendent of Westwood Public Schools. Select Board discusses articles for the 2023 Town Meeting.
Tues. 3/28: Finance & Warrant Commission (FinCom) holds public hearings on the proposed articles for the 2023 Annual Town Meeting, including FY 2024 budget, capital improvements, and borrowing.
Wed. 3/29: If necessary, FinCom will continue unfinished business of Tuesday, March 28th.
MONDAY
School Committee Meeting via Zoom, Monday, March 27, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. School Committee will deliberate on the finalist candidates for the position of superintendent of Westwood Public Schools.

Personnel Board Meeting via Zoom, Monday, March 27, 2023 at5:00 p.m. the board will discuss FY 2024 compensation plans. For information on joining this meeting remotely, click here.
Select Board Meeting via Zoom, Monday, March 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. Select Board will take action on an application for an affordable housing unit on School Street. It will discuss 2023 Annual Town Meeting articles with the potential to vote to amend, accept, and/or remove articles. The board will also discuss release of capital for 4th quarter funds and will convene an executive session to discuss collection bargaining strategy for union personnel.

Youth & Family Services Advisory Board Meeting via Zoom, Monday, March 27, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. On the agenda are Recognize a Youth Award, student board member interviews, Teen Scene Mentor Program, and an open discussion of potential community needs, among other items.

TUESDAY
Board of Health In-Person Public Hearing, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. The board will vote on revising a tobacco regulation to increase fines and increase suspensions for sales to minors.

Board of Assessors In-Person Meeting, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. The board will discuss an update from the Long Range Financial Planning Committee, and will discuss the activities of Assessor John Curran. It will enter executive session to discuss potential settlement of ATB case with Green Company and review FY 2023 abatement applications.

Finance and Warrant Commission (FinCom) and Planning Board In-Person Public Hearing, Tuesday, March 28 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Fin Com will deliberate and vote on its recommendations regarding the FY 2024 budget and FY 2023 budget adjustments, capital improvements, borrowing for cemetery expansion and a fire ladder truck, disposition of town owned property at 47 Willard Circle and the proposal to change the elected positions of town treasurer and town tax collector to appointed ones.
FinCom continues its public hearings on potential amendments of the zoning bylaw related to sustainability, dumpsters and earth material movement.
Members of Select Board will attend. Planning Board and Charter Review Committee will also attend and hold their public hearings on the issues, simultaneously.

Cemetery Commission Meeting via Zoom, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. The commission will discuss costs and contract for a new expansion project, relocation of the cemetery garage and Memorial day preparation, among other items.

Finance and Warrant Commission (FinCom) and Planning Board In-Person Public Hearing, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. A continuation of Tuesday's public hearing held by FinCom and Planning Board will be held if needed.
The meeting, if needed, will be held in the Westwood Main Library at 660 High Street. It will also be recorded and livestreamed by Westwood Media Center on its YouTube channel.
