Thanks to Dedham-Westwood Water District for contributing this news to Westwood Minute.

Dedham-Westwood Water District is requesting that the public voluntarily refrain from non-essential outdoor watering, beginning Monday, May 15, 2023, as DWWD implements Stage I water restrictions to help conserve water.

For Westwood customers, voluntary compliance means that outdoor watering should be limited to Tuesdays and Fridays. For Dedham customers, outdoor watering should be limited to Mondays and Thursdays.

In Stage 1 water restrictions, customers are asked to help conserve water from affected public water supplies in all practicable ways. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from the following uses of water:

  • Watering lawns or other vegetation
  • Washing vehicles
  • Unnecessary washing down driveways and
    sidewalks
  • Other uses of water hoses
