At the minute of this posting, there are ten announced meetings of Westwood's town government for this week. Of particular interest:
Finance and Warrant Commission Meeting (remote), Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The committee will introduce new members and a new chair. Also on the agenda is an update from the chair. For information on joining this meeting remotely, click here.
Board of Library Trustees Meeting (in person), Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The committee will discuss action items on the library's Strategic Plan, review the gallery/exhibit and meeting room policies, and provide updates from the Friends of Library and the 21st Century Fund. Westwood Youth & Family Services Advisory Board Meeting (in person), Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The director will give a department report and there will be an open discussion on community needs. Summer programming and an update from Westwood Public Schools is also on the agenda. This meeting will be held in the lower level of Wentworth Hall at 273 Washington Street in Westwood. WHA/WAHA Meeting (remote), Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. On the agenda are a reorganization of members, an update on any potential property purchases by WAHA, LAU approval status of the property at 22 School Street, a WHA/WAHA Long Range Financial Planning Committee Report for a 5-Year Plan on spending and property purchasing, and updates on property renovations and tenants occupancy. Long Range Financial Planning Committee Meeting (remote), Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. The committee will review objectives and major priorities. Board of Health (BOH) Meeting (in person), Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. The board will discuss the appointment of Dr. Henry D'Angelo as BOH physician and Deni Goldman as animal inspector. It will discuss a variance request regarding the required setback of a well and sewer line at 299 Clapboardtree Street, approve a recreational camp for children, and hear reports from the health direction and public health nurse. Charter Review Committee Meeting (in person), Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. The committee will discuss Chapters 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 and additional chapters if time allows. Joint Permanent Building Committee - School Building Committee Meeting (in person), Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The joint committee will discuss updates to construction, budget, and schedule. Conservation Commission Public Hearings and Meeting (in person), Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. A meeting packet is available here.
