As the summer winds down, take an opportunity to go to one more summer fair, one more Biergarten, one more trip to a local farm. Then, while getting the kids ready for the start of school, consider picking up some extra supplies to donate at University Station's School Supply Drive for students who have been impacted by homelessness.

University Station in Westwood is hosting a School Supply Drive for School on Wheels of Massachusetts now through August 27, 2023. Donations such as new, unused backpacks, pencils & pencil sharpeners, pencil pouches, erasers, glue sticks, highlighters, plastic rulers, washable markers, composition notebooks can be dropped off at Five Below. Join Powisset Farm staff in feeding farm animals, cleaning their pens, and putting down bedding....and of course, giving them cuddles. [more details Saturday]

Bring the whole family and enjoy an afternoon of fun at the End of Summer Block Party at University Station on Saturday, August 26 from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

The Fallout Shelter
Two local bands take the stage on Saturday night. Off the Coast hails from Easton, MA, and performs pop, indie, and classic/alternative rock. Special guest Lady Anemoia, from Southern Worcester County in MA, performs music inspired by nostalgia and legendary musicians of the past. [more details]

Marshfield Fairground
Sunday, August 27th is the last day of the 2023 Marshfield Fair. Entertainment includes a children's zoo, an illusionist, chainsaw artist and wood carvers, blacksmith shop, beekeeping, butterfly hatchery, organic garden, draft horses and more.
