  • Walpole Footlighters opens its 100th anniversary season with what some say may be the most charming musical ever written.

  • Westwood High School field hockey and football teams play at home on Friday, and competitive cheer has a competition in Bellingham on Saturday.

Pumpkins With A Purpose - Sat Oct 28 10:00 am & Sun Oct 29 11:15 am

First Parish of Westwood

Every year, First Parish of Westwood holds a pumpkin sale, with net proceeds going to benefit charities such as New Life Furniture Bank, Greater Boston Food Bank, Rosie's Place, and Lifeworks' Harris Fund. The pumpkins you buy here are Pumpkins with a Purpose. 
 Children can wander among possible selections of different sizes, and lingering for photos is welcome.  [more details]

The Walpole Footlighters opens its 100th anniversary season with what some consider to be the most charming musical ever written, She Loves Me
Set in a 1930s Budapest perfumery, we meet shop clerks Amalia and Georg who, more often than not, don’t see eye to eye. After both respond to a “lonely hearts advertisement” in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters that they exchange. [more details]

University Station Hosts Truck-or-Treat Halloween Party - Sat Oct 28 11:00 am

University Station

University Station will host the center’s free, annual Truck-or-Treat Halloween Party on Saturday, October 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will enjoy music, trick-or-treating, giveaways, and a special character meet-and-greet! There will also be a variety of construction trucks for children of all ages to explore.  [more details]

Diwali Crafts - Sat Oct 28 2:00 pm

Medfield Public Library

Learn how to make a Diya, or lamp decoration, and Rangoli, which are sand art decorations, in anticipation of Diwali in November. This program is for those aged 12 years old and up.  [more details]


Big Sports Card & Memorabilia Show - Sun Oct 29 8:30 am

Holiday Inn

From 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., visitors can browse over 85 vendor tables of buying, selling, and trading sports cards and memorabilia.

An autograph opportunity will be offered with 1968 MVP and Cy Young winner Denny McLain, NBA Finals MVP Cedric Maxwell, and Red Sox Hall of Famer Luis Tiant. [more details]


Fall Fun at Powisset Farm - Sun Oct 29 12:00 pm

Bank of Canton & Canton High School

The Town of Canton invites all community members to a free event from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Costumed participants kick off the fun by walking in a parade. Following the parade, participants can enjoy a trunk-or-treat, pony rides, farm animals, pumpkin painting, goodie bags and more. [more details]
