Free ticket alert!
Westwood Minute is partnering with Needham Community Theatre to offer Westwood Minute supporters and subscribers a chance to win a pair of free tickets to NCT's production of Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible! Performances are at Newman Elementary School in Needham at 8 p.m. on May 10, 11, 17, 18 and at 2:00 p.m. on May 19.
The Crucible is inspired by the witch trials in Salem Village in 1692 and won the Tony Award for Best Play in 1953. NCT's production is directed by Marianne Phinney with a cast of experienced professional-quality actors from Needham, Westwood and surrounding towns.
Arthur Miller wrote the play during the Communist “Red Scare” of the 1950s. The play is a parable of what happens when hearsay is taken as fact and accusation presumes guilt.
Two pairs of tickets will be given away in two separate raffles. Westwood Minute supporters will be automatically entered with 5 raffle entries each and subscribers will be automatically entered with 1 raffle entry each.
Winners will be contacted at their subscription email addresses and will have 24 hours to claim their prize. If a prize is not claimed, a new winner will be drawn.
If you haven't already done so, click here to support or subscribe to Westwood Minute for a chance to win!

A true hero, though I'm not sure about the naming of the intersection after him. We already have a school named after him. Is there no one else who dedicated their life to this Town that the intersection could be named in memory of?
