On June 21 and June 22nd, among the 25 contestants vying to win the competition to become the 84th Miss Massachusetts is Kiersten Khoury, a 2019 graduate of Westwood High School.

The 2024 Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Competition will be held at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester on Friday, June 21 with finals on Saturday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m. each night.

The 23 year-old Khoury holds the title of Miss Bay State. She is the daughter of Dr. Wassim Khoury and Dr. Dawn Khoury, and a 2023 graduate of High Point University where she majored in Entrepreneurship.

For the talent portion of the competition, Khoury will be performing a HerStory monologue called “Undefined.” Her Community Service Initiative is “Check the Chicas” which focuses on breast cancer awareness and support. This is Khoury’s second time competing in the competition – she placed in the Top 10 last year and was the overall interview winner.

The field of 25 candidates will be narrowed to a Top 10 plus the People’s Choice contestants. Supporters help select the People’s Choice position by voting online at www.missmass.org, for $1 per vote, from now through Friday, June 21.

Last year's winner, Miss Massachusetts 2023 Chelsea Vuong, has spent her time balancing her job working as a Strategy Manager for the Washington Commanders NFL franchise while promoting her Community Service Initiative “Dollars and Sense for Financial Freedom” across the Commonwealth. A graduate of Harvard University, Chelsea has earned over $37,000 competing in the Miss America Opportunity.

Dolores Rabuffo, Executive Director of the Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Organization, said, “[W]e look forward to the competition and seeing which contestant our esteemed panel of judges chooses to be Chelsea’s successor. With the rising cost of a college education, we are proud to be able to assist our contestants financially as they continue their education.”

The next Miss Massachusetts will earn a $15,000 scholarship and will compete at the 103rd Annual Miss America competition in early 2025.
