MA State Police Increasing Monitoring in Areas of State
In a statement issued on Sunday, July 14, Massachusetts State Police announced that it is increasing its presence in "highly trafficked areas across the Commonwealth" out of an abundance of caution following "the events that occurred in Butler, PA during a political rally for former President Trump."
The state police indicate that there is no known threat or connection to Massachusetts at this time.
As always, they ask the public to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious or out of the ordinary by calling 508-820-2233 or emailing fusion@pol.state.ma.us. Emergencies should be reported by calling 911.
