DEDHAM, WESTWOOD, Mass. – Leading anti-hunger nonprofit Project Bread recently recognized Dedham Savings Bank for their commitment and dedication to the Interfaith Mini-Walk for Hunger, which is a Project Bread fundraising and awareness event hosted by Temple Beth David of Westwood.
This annual event celebrates the strength of many faiths uniting to further work in Massachusetts that makes food more accessible and affordable for our neighbors. Walkers of all ages, all faiths and those not belonging to a faith organization, are all encouraged to participate in the three-mile event each fall.
Dedham Savings Bank has significantly supported the Interfaith Mini-Walk for Hunger for over five years, contributing to Project Bread’s mission to provide direct support to individuals facing food insecurity and to ultimately end hunger in Massachusetts for good.
In attendance for the celebratory event were Dedham Savings Bank CEO Peter Brown, Project Bread Assistant Director of Individual Giving Jessie Cox, Dedham Savings Bank Board of Trustees Member and Interfaith Mini Walk organizer Lou Rizoli, Dedham Savings Bank CFO and COO Mark Ingalls, and Project Bread Director of Institutional Giving Shannon Healey.
The event was an opportunity for Project Bread to not only celebrate Dedham Savings Bank as a reliable supporter, but also tp recognize Westwood residents Lou and Connie Rizoli and the Westwood-based Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger planning committee for championing the work of Project Bread for the past 15 years.
