Robert Gotti will step into the role of Select Board member following the upcoming Town Meeting on May 3, 2021, and current Select Board member Nancy Hyde will move into her own newly elected role as Town Assessor.
In response to the Westwood Minute's request for a statement, Mr. Gotti issued one which closely tracks his Facebook campaign page message posted to supporters late Wednesday night:
"Honored at the opportunity to serve as the next member of Westwood’s Select Board.
I want to take the opportunity to thank both Dave Atkins and Bill McLaughlin for running highly competitive campaigns.
At the end of the day, we are better for having people willing to put themselves out there with a desire to serve and help advance our town. I salute both the candidates and their teams.
Looking forward to beginning this next chapter in helping keep Westwood a great place to live."
