Thanks to Dedham-Westwood Water District for sharing this news with Westwood Minute.
Dedham-Westwood Water District is requesting that residents of the Pheasant Hill neighborhood of Westwood refrain from using water from approximately 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, February 3rd, while the Water District undertakes routine maintenance. Customer cooperation will help to avoid potential damage to appliances and maintain water pressure, says the Water District.
"While routine maintenance is being conducted, residents located on Burgess Avenue, June Street, Blueberry Lane, Chamberlain Ave., Pheasant Hill Street, Highview Street, Youngs Road, Green Hill Road, a portion of High Street (between Stonegate Lane and Blueberry Lane), and Stonegate Lane are asked to refrain from using water. This is to avoid potential damage to appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines and to help maintain sufficient pressure in the locations specified above," reads a press release from the Water District.
According to the Water District, the maintenance is being conducted at the Burgess Avenue Booster Pump Station, which is responsible for transporting drinking water and providing adequate service pressure to customers on the uphill side of High Street.
Once the work is complete, the Water District will make an announcement at its website, online.

The Select Board has no one to blame but themselves for what has transpired the past two days.
Thank you for your commnet with some very valid observations. As a resident of over 35 years I have participated in the past in Town Meeting and do vote. But now, as with other senior residents, it is not always possible to attend the Select Board meeting in the evening.
This didn't need to happen. Unfortunately, out of everything described of said individual, by the individual, there were key attributes not recognized and spoken of.
Rob - your departure is Westwood's loss. I know well the time, effort and energy our elected officials expend. Thank you for all you have done on Westwood's behalf.

337 people showed up on a cold February night to vote against a non-binding resolution.
Yes, they did.
And this attendance and participation demonstrates how strongly folks on both sides of this issue feel about it, and how a majority of voters want the Select Board to withdraw from the lawsuit. It was a far larger turnout than in annual town meetings.
It is false to assume a large majority of voters want the Select Board to withdraw. You can only say that the majority who showed up wanted to say that. According to Google AI, the average turnout at annual town meetings is 3.9% from 2018-2025, this was 4.6%.
