Thanks to the Town of Westwood for contributing this news to Westwood Minute.
The Town of Westwood this week has announced that Westwood Fire Department is inviting the community to an Open House at its main fire station located at 637 High Street on Saturday, May 10th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The event gives fire department staff an opportunity to engage with residents while it also aims to provide insight into the operations of the fire department, discuss the critical needs of a 21st-century fire department, and address the limitations of the current station facility.
The Open House offers attendees the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by firefighters and emergency responders. Visitors will have the chance to explore various aspects of the fire station, engage with experienced firefighters, and learn about the essential services provided to the community.
Westwood Fire Chief Steve Lund emphasized the importance of community involvement in understanding the needs of the fire department. “The goal with this Open House is to educate the public on the crucial role of our firefighters and the challenges presented by the current facility on High Street."
Chief Lund added, "This is an excellent opportunity for residents to see the station up close and to ask questions regarding the future of our fire department."

I agree. You can't compare these petitions at all.
Nonresidents of Westwood and those who do not vote in Westwood are not really relevant to the issues at hand in this matter. As he readily admits, Mr.
The cost of $27,000 could have been avoided if the tax payers were notified about the idea of taking the WLT to court and it was discussed at a regular town meeting. Especially when a town takes the unusual step of taking its own land trust to court.
