Mother and Juvenile Daughter Charged with Felony

10:41 p.m. Police responded to Dover Road after receiving a complaint of a loud party. Upon arriving, police heard partygoers yell, “Police, run!” and observed many juveniles running into the nearby woods. At the house door, police were greeted by a male juvenile and female juvenile, the latter who was holding an alcoholic beverage. There were numerous juveniles attending the party, and no adults over the age of 21 were at home. Police contacted the homeowners who returned to the house.

The female juvenile and her mother were both charged with the felony of furnishing alcohol to persons under the age of 21. Police noted several particularly compelling circumstances for the charge, including the home's location close to water and a swamp, juveniles hanging out on the side of the road, a large number of juveniles fleeing the party, and the juvenile resident had answered the door with evidence that she had been drinking.
