This Mother's Day weekend, celebrate with culture by attending the annual student performances at Westwood Chinese School, seeing a movie with a post-screening discussion, enjoying community theater, and a farm festival. A thoughtful gesture could be helping Mom with the chores and bringing the recycling as you head out the door to Westwood's Spring Recycle Day. Or take one of Mom's broken items to Saturday's Repair Cafe.
Before the weekend, there's high school lacrosse, baseball, softball, and tennis matches to watch.
Looking ahead to next week, families are invited to Try Girl Scouts, and a local author/conservationist/adventurer will hold a book discussion at Powisset Farm.
Be sure to check the weather before heading outside, and confirm event details for any last-minute changes.
