Still looking for pumpkins to carve or decorate this fall? Westwood Minute has investigated pumpkin patches in the area, so you don't have to! Here are a few suggestions to turn local pumpkin picking into a fun-filled experience with bells and whistles.
Ward’s Berry Farm, 614 South Main Street, Sharon. Daily from Sunday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On weekends, tractor rides are available to the field and a corn maze for $4 per person (kids aged 3 years old and under ride free). You can also take a hayride for $10.

Rent some shears and head to the field to pick sunflowers that grow four to six feet tall, at $2 per stem. Add wild zinnias and other flowers to make a bouquet. Don’t forget to visit the playground and animals – those are free!
With pumpkin in hand, take a tractor ride back to the store for sandwiches and fresh fruit smoothies. For the pumpkin patch, plan a 45 minute visit. Add on the other activities, and you could fill three to four hours. No reservations are required. Check the website for picking conditions before heading out.

Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sundays from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Simply pick a pumpkin from the farm stand and be on your way, or pick an experience. Admission of $20 per adult or $12 per child aged 6 to 12 years-old includes a hayride to a corn maze, visit to a sunflower garden, and walk through a pumpkin patch. Children aged 5 and under are not charged admission.
Pumpkins are 79 cents per pound. Cider donuts and an ice cream bus will be on site. Depending on the number of people visiting, lemonade and s'mores may also be available. No reservations are required. For more information, call 508-877-3058.

Tangerini's Farm, 139 Spring Street, Millis. Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take a hay ride around the farm to pick out your sugar pumpkin. After selecting a pumpkin, washable paints are available to use for pumpkin painting, if desired. The cost is $10 per person aged 3 years and up and includes a sugar pumpkin. Reservations are not required, but visitors should check the farm's website and Facebook to ensure the field is open.
Pakeen Farm, 109 Elm Street, Canton. Thursday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin, sip hot cider and enjoy apples and fresh donuts.
