Inclusive Westwood has just released a letter supporting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts in Westwood, and is asking community members to sign on with their support.
The group, which is made up of parents and citizens who are passionate about making Westwood a supportive, safe, equitable, and inclusive town for all kids and families, has launched the signature gathering effort to affirm the importance of DEI work in our community and as a way to signal the depth and breadth of support across town.
Several of the comments they’ve received from early signers of the letter include:
- “Diversity and inclusion are critical to building a strong and vibrant community. I am proud to support these initiatives.”
- “I strongly support the efforts of the town so far in expanding their DEI efforts and hope that they will continue to push for more equity and inclusion in all aspects of town services.”
The full statement is available here; those who seek to sign on in support are asked to do so here.
