How to Participate in Town Government - Week of June 19, 2022 (Updated)

Updated 6/23/2022. Newly available information for a CEA Working Group meeting on Thursday and a School Building Committee and Permanent Building Committee meeting on Friday have been added.

Below are upcoming meetings of town government for the week of June 19, 2022, and they all are happening on Tuesday, June 22, 2022. Of special note, on Select Board's agenda are:

an update on the Hale Task Force public meeting of last week;
a Personnel Board recommendation to amend holidays; and
the July 15, 2022 expiration of the provision allowing for public meetings of town government to be held remotely.

School Committee Meeting, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. On the agenda is the Superintendent’s Report with an update on collective bargaining. The School Committee will also vote to enter into Executive Session to discuss collective bargaining agreements.

Select Board Meeting via Zoom, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The chair will provide an update on last week’s Hale Task Force meeting and will give recognition to Town Clerk Dottie Powers, for being awarded Clerk of the Year.

Select Board will take action on a Memorandum of Agreement for FY 2022 and FY 2023 regarding SEIU Local 888 union, and contracts regarding the assistant town administrator, director of human resources and town administrator.

There will also be discussion on a Personnel Board recommendation to amend holidays, release of 1st quarter capital (FY 2023), appointments and re-appointments to boards and committees, and the upcoming July 15, 2022 expiration of permission to hold public meetings of town government remotely.

Dedham-Westwood Water District General Meeting via Zoom, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. Discussion items include the treasurer’s report, business operating reports, pumping and operational report, an update on new and existing projects, and an executive director report regarding executed contracts and an update on a communications position.

School Building Committee and Permanent Building Committee Meeting, Friday, June 24, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. On the agenda are votes to: award a contract to a general contractor for the Hanlon School Project; approve builder's risk insurance for the project, approve a vendor invoice package, and other items.
