Thanks for raising this question, Ken. I want to give a little information about political posts on this platform.

To help Westwood Minute maintain its intent to be a non-partisan, unbiased platform for local news, I've updated the Community Guidelines about political posts on this platform. See "Are Political Posts Allowed on Westwood Minute?", available at https://westwoodminute.town.news/g/westwood-ma/n/372492/are-political-p….

The Community Guidelines are updated periodically, as may be needed. The updated guidelines can always be found by clicking on the "About" tab at the top of the Westwood Minute site, then clicking on the link to "Community Conduct Guidelines."

Darlene, thank you for reponding to my comment.  I followup with why is it necessary to post this notice twice each daily issue - one right after the other.  Also, i saw the hearing on WPD officer Abatangelo was covered on Tuesday but no posting of this first day of the hearing and notice of the 2nd day of the hearing on April 3?

If I understand the posting question correctly, I've posted the updated Community Guidelines (new information regarding political postings) in response to your comment here, but since many readers may not see this comment section, I've posted the updated Community Guidelines separately, under it's own headline, as well (which I typically do whenever there is a significant substantive change to guidelines).

In answer to the question about the hearing, I have not decided how or whether or when Westwood Minute can or should cover it. It deals with a personnel matter -- usually something the individuals concerned have the luxury of addressing out of the limelight. However, this is being addressed a public hearing, and to the the extent it has bearing on residents, I'm leaning toward more well-rounded coverage after more information comes out, if I have the resources to cover it. I think at the very least there will be some coverage, however.

Any registered user of the Westwood Minute platform is invited to post a community post to share about the matter, if they like. So long as postings follow Community Guidelines, please feel free.
