The Westwood Public Library will host a poetry reading to celebrate National Poetry Month of April on Tuesday April 19, 7-8:00 PM, in the meeting room of the Main Library, 660 High Street. Poets of all ages and poetry styles, from traditional to slam and spoken word, are invited to participate in the Open Mic segment that evening. Eight featured poets from the Westwood Tuesday Night Poetry Circle will read from their current works. The program is free, open to the public, registration is not required. Interested poets and lovers of poetry, from beginners to published poets, are encouraged to bring a poem of their own or a favorite poem for the open mic. Contact the Tuesday Night Workshop facilitator Lynne Viti, lviti@wellesley.edu, with any questions.
