Westwood, MA - Congratulations to Xaverian Brothers High School seniors Rishabh Nevatia ’23 (Walpole) and Braden Kennedy ’23 (Wrentham) on being named National Merit finalists. Rishabh and Braden scored in the top 1% of students on the PSAT.

About 1.5 million juniors in more than 21,000 high schools entered the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which served as an initial screen of program entrants.

Rishabh and Braden were two of the 15,000 semifinalists who were recently notified that they had advanced to finalist standing. These academically talented high school seniors now have an opportunity to continue in the competition to become two of the 7,250 finalists that will be selected to receive a National Merit Scholarship award.
