Looking for something to do this Sunday? How about meeting a new friend at the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter? Here's a few of the friends you can meet:
George is a 10 month-old brindle and white Pit Bull Terrier who is a charismatic cuddlebug, looking to be the only animal for an adult-only home. He is described as playful and while in need of training, is food motivated and eager to learn! George is in a foster home, but you can make an appointment to meet him.
Jeff is an 8 year-old American Pit Bull mix who is a quick learner and who loves attention and people. He has become a staff favorite and is described as "a great companion for just about anyone." He is looking for a home where he can be the only animal. Jeff is in a foster home, but you can make an appointment to meet him.
Milly is a 13 year-0ld lady who enjoys gentle pets and is looking for a quiet home where she can spend her golden years. She was affectionate in her previous home with her person's sole attention. With a little encouragement, see her personality shine through!
Meet Turtle and Tortoise, both easygoing gray, ring-necked doves who are about 10 years-old. They have been housed together in the past, but ARL thinks they will do better in separate but adjacent cages. Enjoy listening for their soothing, cooing sounds!
Clover is a 1 year-old female, unaltered, tricolor and black guinea pig. In her previous living situation, she lived with other guinea pigs.
Many more animals are available for adoption at ARL's Dedham, Boston, and Brewster shelters. Take a look online and/or make a visit in person. Visiting hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays during those same hours by appointment. Learn more about ARL's adoptable animals by clicking here.
