This weekend offers an opportunity to support the community (and also be efficient) by shopping local on Saturday morning. There are three stops worth making within a mile and only a few minutes drive of each other:
After the morning of shopping, visit Natick's Farm Fest where you can greet baby animals and check out the seedling sale and farm activities. Consider picking up a lunch of fair food from food trucks at Walpole Day. While you're there, soak in the live music and fair activities.
For indoor options and a possible treat for mom, take a look at the two community theatre productions playing through the weekend - there's Something Rotten! in Walpole and Ramona Quimby in Needham.
Sunday is Mother's Day, and an opportunity to celebrate a special, nurturing person in your life. A traditional brunch is nice, and so is enjoying family time at Newton's Family FunFEST carnival.
And don't forget Friday's entertainment. Westwood faces Norwood in varsity lacrosse, tennis, softball and baseball.
