Westwood Girls Lacrosse Heads to Final Four in Div. 1 State Tournament

This Saturday, June 10th, athletes from Westwood High School and Xaverian Brothers High School teams competed in their respective state tournaments. Here's how it turned out:

Westwood High Schools Girls Lacrosse (No. 3 seed)  is advancing to the Final Four of Division 1 state tournament play after defeating Longmeadow (No. 6 seed) on Saturday. The score was 11-10 in overtime in the game played at Flahive Field in Westwood. Westwood will next face Franklin on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Walpole High School.

Xaverian Brothers High School Boys Lacrosse fell to Boston College High in the Round of 8 in the Division 1 state tournament. The score was 14-5 on Saturday June 10th at Boston College High School.

After holding its opponent to a slew of scoreless innings, Westwood High School Boys Baseball ended its season with a loss in the MIAA Division 2 Round of 8. In the away game at King Phillips Regional High School, the final score was 1-0.
