Want a unique poem written especially for you? Poems on Demand will return to the Westwood Library on Groundhog Day, Sunday February 2, 2:30-4PM in the main lobby. No appointment is needed. Westwood Poet Laureate Lynne Viti and Youth Poet Laureate Elizabeth Lowney will tailor your bespoke poem to your topic and personality or those of your friend or family member. Using a reconditioned 1968 vintage Smith Corona manual typewriter and newsprint paper, the poets will quickly compose a poem on the spot, type it up, and hand it to you. If there's a line, you can pick up your poem after you check out or return books.
Poems on Demand is part of a project by the Poet Laureates to bring poetry into every corner of the Westwood community.
