Westwood Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Westwood Community Chest and Westwood Council on Aging joined forces on Sunday, May 1, 2020 to provide a facility and location (the Senior Center), a cause, and many willing hands, to participate in Service Day.

Boy Scouts raised $500 for Westwood Community Chest through their car wash outside the Senior Center.Members of the middle school Boy Scouts organized a car wash, raising about $500 in donations from community members who stopped by their service project. The funds will be donated to Westwood Community Chest, an almost entirely volunteer run non-profit that assists Westwood residents experiencing financial hardship with limited, short-term grants that can help fund items such as groceries, rent, utility bills, and even summer camp awards.
