Students Recognized by Westwood School Committee

The Westwood School Committee recognized the accomplishments of two student groups at a recent meeting. Seniors participating in SIPP - Senior Independent Project Program - presented projects they spent the summer working on. Examples of projects include: Grace Sterling’s creation of an Instagram page for the newly revitalized Islington Center commercial district; Ella Allen’s project which will encourage more young women to participate in Jazz; and Ali Tariq’s development of an app which features memory games to assist in cognitive skills in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease. The School Committee also presented plaques to members of the Division 1 State Champion Girls lacrosse team who were undefeated and won the title for the second consecutive year.
