On Saturday, November 19, 2022, Westwood Cub Scout Troops will once again be collecting donations from the community for their annual “Scouting For Food" Drive to benefit the Westwood Food Pantry.
If you receive a Cub Scout flyer at your door and want to have Cub Scouts come by to pick up your non-perishable donations, package them and leave them outside your front door by 9 a.m. on Saturday.
If you don’t receive a flyer, you can still donate by stopping by the Thurston Middle School Cafeteria at 850 High Street on Saturday, November 19th between 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Drop-off of non-perishable donations, curbside. Volunteers will help unload your car.

Outside of Saturday, Nov. 19th, donations of food are also always accepted at the Westwood Food Pantry bin near the checkout area at Roche Bros in Westwood, and at the Westwood Council On Aging at 60 Nahatan Street from Mondays to Fridays between 9:00 a.m. to noon.

I am in complete support of the refurbishing and reopening of Norwood Hospital. I was working at Saint Elizabeth during this time. When steward took over our HOSPITAL group, Caritas Christie. They decimated not only our hospitals, but also two hospitals in the tiny nation of Malta.

Senator Rush is correct re: the ambulatory services. One only has to drive on RTE 109/Westwood to see the number of out of town ambulances going through town at all times of the day. Then they have to get to Boston or Needham.
This is progress and I am glad to see the Select Board moving in the right direction. However, a majority of voters at last Monday's Special Town Meeting voted to recommend that the Select Board immediately cease its lawsuit against the Westwood Land Trust.
