The 12th annual Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2 p.m. to benefit Project Bread, a state-wide anti-hunger organization. The walk begins from Temple Beth David at 7 Clapboardtree Street in Westwood.
In addition to gathering monetary sponsors for Project Bread, participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to donate to local food pantries.
The Interfaith Walk, originally inspired as a bar mitzvah project, has united houses of worship in several communities, including Westwood, Dedham, Norwood, Sharon and Canton for this family-friendly, 3-mile Walk. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Hindus will participate in this year’s Walk, although one need not be a member of a house of worship to participate.
No advance registration is necessary. More information is available at http://support.projectbread.org/goto/interfaithmini.

Sunny, with a high of 62 and low of 38 degrees. Sunny in the morning, partly cloudy during the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
First of all, the intersection improvements are scheduled for the upcoming years and they are not related to Westwood at all.
The plaza on 109 where the Post Office is located would be a prime site for a modern development. It is a relic from the 1950#. Why haven’t the town planners sought a project for that location?
This is Route 1, the most heavily commercialized corridor in the region, and calling this an “existential threat” isn’t based in reality.
