Thanks to University Station for contributing this news to Westwood Minute.
University Station in Westwood is hosting a canned food drive to benefit The Westwood Food Pantry from now through Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Donations can be dropped off at Five Below, one of the retail stores in the mixed-used development.
Suggested items include canned vegetables, stuffing mix, potato mix, gravy, pie and roasting pans, baby food and more. Visit ShopUniversityStation.com for a full list of items needed for donation.
“We thank University Station for their commitment to this important donation drive to help local families this holiday season,” says Melissa Mahaffey, President of the Westwood Food Pantry.
“University Station is pleased to continue to support the Westwood Food Pantry through this donation drive. It’s a simple way to help our neighbors in need and help stock the shelves of their pantry for the holidays,” says Rebekah Macchia, Marketing Director for University Station.
In addition to the canned food drive at University Station, food donations can be dropped off at the Westwood Council on Aging at 60 Nahatan Street in Westwood, Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Moderate or heavy snow showers, with a high of 38 and low of 24 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Sunny in the morning, ice pellets in the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
Senator Rush is correct re: the ambulatory services. One only has to drive on RTE 109/Westwood to see the number of out of town ambulances going through town at all times of the day. Then they have to get to Boston or Needham.
This is progress and I am glad to see the Select Board moving in the right direction. However, a majority of voters at last Monday's Special Town Meeting voted to recommend that the Select Board immediately cease its lawsuit against the Westwood Land Trust.
