Westwood Annual Town Election is April 25, 2023 (Updated)

With Westwood's Annual Town Election to be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, candidates are launching their election campaigns.

Joseph Previtera has announced his run for Select Board and JoAnna French, Amanda Phillips and Tom Themistocles have announced their candidacies for School Committee on Westwood Minute. 

 Those wishing to throw in their hats for various open seats in town government had until last Friday, March 3rd, to obtain their nomination papers. This Tuesday, March 7th, will be candidates' deadline to submit nomination papers for certification.

Voters, likewise, have important dates to keep in mind:

April 14 is the last day to register as a new voter or make changes to voter registrations.

April 14 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and April 15 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. are opportunities for Early Voting In Person at Westwood Police Station.

April 18 is the last day to apply for an Absentee Ballot/Vote By Mail Ballot.

April 25 is Town Election Day and the opportunity to cast a traditional, in-person vote.

  • Board of Assessors (1 seat, 3 year term)
  • Housing Authority (1 seat, 5 year term)
  • Library Trustee (2 seats, 3 year terms)
  • Moderator (1 seat, 1 year term)
  • Planning Board (1 seat, 3 year term)
  • School Committee (2 seats, 3 year terms)
  • Select Board (1 seat, 3 year term)
  • Sewer Commission (1 seat, 3 year term)
