Westwood Recreation has announced that its pool has closed due to construction related to pool deck tiling, beginning Monday, March 6th through Sunday, April 23, 2023. An earlier reopening is possible, if construction finishes sooner.
Westwood Recreation plans to put pool memberships on hold during this time, until the pool reopens. In the meantime, the department suggests residents try the Town of Dedham's indoor pool, "Juju's Place," at One Recreation Road.
Swimmers searching for Juju's Place online may find instead a location at 336 High Street which is called, "Anthony P. Mucciaccio Dedham Pool." A staff member answering the phone there confirmed that the High Street facility is also known as Juju's Place, and that both the Recreation Road and High Street addresses are used for the pool, but she is not sure why. When answering the phone, the staff member referred to the location as simply, "Dedham Pool."
Dedham's indoor town pool is open and accessible to members of the public. Non-member visitors can use the pool for a small admission fee. Memberships are available to both residents and non-residents. For the pool's schedule and rates, click here.
