This weekend offers chances to get to know local politicians. School Committee candidate JoAnna French holds a meetup on Friday. The League of Women Voters hosts a Meet Your State Legislators event on Sunday.

Kids and families can enjoy a hands-on wacky science show in Natick and a concert by The Stacey Peasley Band in Norwood.

On Sunday, there's more music at Westwood Main Library as celtic tunes intertwine with history and stories. And for armchair entertainment, join a virtual discussion with a best-selling New York Times author and musician Michelle Zauner (also known as Japanese Breakfast).
