Westwood Graduate of Boston College High School Earns Double Award Recognition

Thanks to Boston College High School for sharing this news with Westwood Minute.

Westwood resident and graduating senior Michael Cairo was honored in April at Boston College High School's (BCHS's) annual Senior Awards Ceremony, an event that celebrates the accomplishments of the members of the class of 2023 and recognizes their leadership and academic excellence.

Mr. Cairo was recognized with both the William F. Whalen Book Award and Stephen J. Collins Modern Language Award.

The William F. Whalen Book Award was established by the Whalen family to honor two members of the graduating class who, in the opinion of the Social Studies Department, understand that the study of history provides the key to the future.

Mr. Cairo also received the Stephen J. Collins Modern Language Award, a recognition given to a graduating senior who has brought language to life.

Mr. Cairo will graduate with the BCHS class of 2023 this weekend.
