This week marks the start of baseball for those enrolled in Westwood Little League. Residents driving around town in the early evening will find baseball simultaneously being played on just about every diamond available in town.
Days of the week for game play can vary for leagues other than K-ball, but locations and times are generally consistent as follows (check the schedule for more details):
K-ball games will be played on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at School Street Playground.
Rookie games will be played from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hanlon School.
Instructional League Second Grade games will be from 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Downey School.
Instructional League Third Grade games will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Martha Jones.
This week only, International League play will be from 5:30 p.m to 7:00/7:30 p.m. at Martha Jones School. On subsequent weeks, game play will run at the same location from 5:45 p.m .to 7:15 p.m.
Minor League games are 5:30 p.m. to 6:30/7 p.m. at Sheehan Field and from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pete White.
Major League games will be held at three locations, for this week only. Monday's games were at Pete White and the Sheehan Field. All games following Monday, April 26, 2021 will be held at Morrison Field from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00/7:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

First of all, the intersection improvements are scheduled for the upcoming years and they are not related to Westwood at all.
The plaza on 109 where the Post Office is located would be a prime site for a modern development. It is a relic from the 1950#. Why haven’t the town planners sought a project for that location?
This is Route 1, the most heavily commercialized corridor in the region, and calling this an “existential threat” isn’t based in reality.
