Westwood Select Board Reorganizes in First Meeting Following April 2025 Town Election

Following Westwood's Town Election on April 29th, and the subsequent re-election of Select Board Clerk Marianne LeBlanc Cummings, Westwood Select Board has reorganized itself during its May 22nd meeting, with the three members unanimously voting to make Robert Gotti the board's new chair.

With Ms. Cumming's return to Westwood's Select Board after her uncontested run for re-election, the board retains the same members as it had the previous year.

Last year, Mr. Gotti served as third member of the board, alongside Ms. Cummings as clerk. Joe Previtera served as chair.

Now, as a result of what some have called a traditionally expected "rotation" of roles during Select Board's annual reorganization, in additional to Mr. Gotti taking on the role of chair, Mr. Previtera will serve as the new clerk, and Ms. Cummings will  serve as third member. However, rather than truly being automatic, the role assignments are formalized with Select Board approval through voting. As expected, in this new year of service, like Mr. Gotti, both Mr.  Previtera and Ms. Cummings also take on their changed roles via unanimous vote of the Select Board members.
