Norwood Police Identify and Charge Three Juveniles Linked to Sept. 9 Armed Robbery and Shooting
Three juveniles have been charged with armed assault with intent to rob or murder after Norwood Police identified them in connection to a robbery and shooting on Irving Street in Norwood last month, announced Norwood Chief of Police Christopher Padden on October 21, 2025.
Two of the three youth are in custody. Police detectives are working to locate the third. Detectives believe the three acted together to carry out the crime which they says was not a random act. There is no ongoing threat to the public, says Chief Padden.
Chief Padden announced that Norwood Police Detectives Unit believe that the juveniles lured a victim to the area of Irving Street on September 9th under the pretense of a marijuana transaction, and robbed the victim at gunpoint. The victim was shot in the lower torso, he says.
Each of the three juveniles have been charged with the following:
- Armed assault with intent to rob or murder
- Armed robbery – armed & masked
- Conspiracy to commit armed robbery – armed & masked
In addition, one of the three suspects was charged with malicious damage to a motor vehicle, possession of a loaded firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
Another one of the three suspects was additionally charged with witness intimidation.
A search warrant led police to a Norwest Woods residence where police recovered additional evidence which linked the juveniles to the crime and led to the arrest warrants being issued.
Their cases will be heard in Dedham Juvenile Court.
“Norwood Police Detectives conducted a diligent and professional investigation in this case, and these three arrests are the direct result, said Chief Padden. The chief also noted that the entire police department is committed to ensuring that the community is safe and will continue pursuing those involved in violent acts in the community.
