Snow that fell in trace amounts on Sunday evening soon became a snowstorm with blizzard-like conditions in the Westwood, MA area by Monday, February 23rd, resulting in the cancellation of school by area districts and closures of town government offices and local businesses. But how much snow fell? The following are snowfall reports for select area towns in Norfolk County, as reported by NWS (National Weather Service) Boston.
In Westwood, significant snowfall continued to accumulate through the early evening of February 23rd.
Norwood and Boston Logan airports reached blizzard criteria on Monday morning. Norwood reached Blizzard conditions at 8:20 a.m. and Boston reached blizzard conditions at 9:20 a.m.
Moderate rain, with a high of 44 and low of 26 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Patchy rain nearby in the morning, sunny during the afternoon, clear in the evening, light rain overnight.
These are great strides in addressing concerns about a lack of openness and two way dialogue raised by Westwood citizens. Thanks to the Select Board and to Mr. Read for listening and acting.

In promulgating the public comment policy, the Select Board has taken a big step towards showing willingness to engage in conversation with Westwood residents about the many important issues at hand—currently, the Fire Station 1 and the budget.
