These are the twenty-three Westwood athletes and one coach who have made it onto Boston Globe’s list of the best for their fall sports. The All-Scholastics section will be available in print in Boston Globe's Sunday, January 9, 2022 edition.
Field hockey: Kendall Blomquist was recognized as an All Scholastics athlete as well as MVP for All-Stars Tri-Valley.
Her teammates who were also recognized as All-Stars Tri-Valley are Amelia Cogan, Kate Deeham, Lindsay Diomede, Mia O’Donnell, and Olivia Williams.
Coach Heather Joyce was named Division 2 Coach of the Year.
Football: Dylan Grady, JP Herlihy, Mark Homsy, JT O’Shea, Joe Shavitz are all All-Stars for the Tri-Valley
Boys' soccer: Drew DeStefano and Kyle Hallahan are All-Stars for the Tri-Valley
Girls' soccer: Haley Jacobson and Maddi Peck (MVP) are All-Stars for the Tri-Valley
Girls' volleyball: Yvette Easton, Emily Liu and Shelby McKim are All-Stars for the Tri-Valley
Boys’ cross-country: Josh Jerskey and Marcus Kelly are All-Stars for the Tri-Valley
Golf:
Gunther Guleserian, Lillian Guleserian, Frank Papetti are All Stars for the Tri-Valley

The cost of $27,000 could have been avoided if the tax payers were notified about the idea of taking the WLT to court and it was discussed at a regular town meeting. Especially when a town takes the unusual step of taking its own land trust to court.
