First Parish of Westwood Returns to In-person Service on Sunday, May 23rd

First Parish Church of Westwood is excited to return to in-person this Sunday! Here is the schedule for reopening worship:

Pre-worship -- A church member will be outdoors to welcome you and take your name. You will be offered a mask. We will enter via the side entrance. Those who need to use the elevator may enter via the side entrance.

Children -- are welcomed and encouraged to attend with their families. There will be worship bags prepared especially for them, a children's message in worship, and a patio activity following the service.

In the service -- We will begin this Sunday to find our way back to worship as we remember it. We will enjoy many elements of worship -- the liturgy, the Word for All Ages, the Sermon, the Offering and service music. We still await the day when we will be able to read responsively and sing hymns safely or greet each other with the "Peace of Christ." But those days are surely coming.

To gather safely -- We will have all the windows in the sanctuary open for ventilation. Bulletins will be place in pews so that worshipers may find safely distanced seating. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask. Worship will be shorter than usual, about 35 minutes.

We are looking forward to our first in-person worship in more than a year!
