In this paper airplane construction contest, participants in teams of one to four people which include at least one pre-teen, will make airplanes from plain 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper and compete in a contest of distance and a contest of accuracy. Prizes are awarded for the teams with the paper airplanes that fly the farthest or the straightest.
The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Online pre-registration is required and available through November 10. The cost is $10 to register a team. For more information, click here.

I completely agree. Washington St. also has some terrible patches, especially the handicap ramps. I don’t understand why the DPW is responsible for clearing sidewalks in front of homes and businesses. It seems that those should be the responsibility of the property owner.
The sidewalks on High Rock and Hartford have been pretty treacherous this winter too. I didn't contact DPW about it though.
