Now, we welcome them to walk the course in person. We are back, we are together, and we are stronger than ever.”
Participants have the flexibility to choose from four distance options, or virtual participation. The shortest route is a 5K Walk, or 3.1 miles, that starts from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For participants seeking to walk longer distances, there is the 10K Walk, or 6.2. miles, from Newton and the Half Marathon Walk, or 13.1 miles, from Wellesley. The longest route is the Marathon Walk, 26.2 miles, that starts in Hopkinton.
Virtual participants can join by “walking their way” from wherever they are most comfortable. This may mean selecting a route in their neighborhood, a favorite hiking trail, or walking the distance on a treadmill at home. Virtual programming and supporting materials are available.
