This weekend brings the return of the annual Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger, where walkers participate in a 3 mile trek in Westwood neighborhoods to raise awareness and fundraise for the cause of eliminating food insecurity in Massachusetts. Join your neighbors in support of a worthy cause.

And there are only two more weekends to prepare for Halloween. Still need a pumpkin? First Parish of Westwood offers Pumpkins with a Purpose, with funds raised going to local charities.

Looking to get in the mood for Halloween? RSM hosts a spooky house to help get visitors in the mood for October 31st.

As an alternative to the spooky, Westwood Young Womens Club holds its Harvestfest, a fundraiser which provides entertainment for young families.

Fall continues to be a great time for the arts. Roslindale hosts its Open Studio. Open Book Coffeehouse opens its doors to another live, musical performance. This one is by Dana Cooper, who is called a "driving, acoustic rocker" by Rolling Stone magazine.

In high school sports, Westwood High School football and field hockey play on Friday while soccer plays on Saturday. All are in Westwood.
