Shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) estimated that throughout the entire state, 43,662 customers remain without power.
The status of power outages affecting surrounding areas as of 9:00 on Tuesday night, according to MEMA, are as follows:
Medfield 10 percent of customers
Dover 12 percent of customers
Walpole 3 percent of customers
Needham 7 percent of customers
Newton 4 percent of customers
Canton 4 percent of customers
Dedham 1 percent of customers
Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 48 and low of 31 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Overcast during the morning, light drizzle overnight.
These are great strides in addressing concerns about a lack of openness and two way dialogue raised by Westwood citizens. Thanks to the Select Board and to Mr. Read for listening and acting.
Thank you Ms. Galkowski for this thoughtful acknowledgement of positive steps being made by our Town government. My generation loves the positive empowerment. Exemplary.
In promulgating the public comment policy, the Select Board has taken a big step towards showing willingness to engage in conversation with Westwood residents about the many important issues at hand—currently, the Fire Station 1 and the budget.
