The month of December has been full of music for Westwood Public Schools (WPS) student performers, their instructors and directors, and families who have showed up to multiple December concerts in support of the budding musicians. Concerts were well attended, and could even be considered jam-packed on at least one occasion.

On December 5th, the WPS Performing Arts held its All Town Strings Concert, marking the debut of Allison Sanders as orchestra director, and also the first time the middle school orchestra has performed a full orchestral piece - Psychic Storm -  with string, percussion, and wind instruments. Dr. Sanders, who is also band director, brought her eighth grade band students together with orchestra string and percussion students to form a full orchestra.

Later in the month, WPS Performing Arts presented concerts by concerts by middle school and high school band members (7th grade through high school) and 5th and 6th grade band, along with performances by the middle school, high school, and Select Chorus.
